Nico: after-hours AI answering that finishes the job

Most after-hours answering services take a message. Nico answers as your receptionist, has the conversation, and then does the follow-up work: the summary, the record, and the handoff to the right person in the morning.

Who this is for

  • Trades and field-service companies whose best leads call at 6 p.m.
  • Law firms, clinics and professional offices that can't miss an intake call
  • Any business paying for a human answering service and getting a one-line message back
  • Owners who answer their own phone at dinner

What Nico does on a call

Nico picks up on the first ring and answers with your business name and greeting. It talks like a person: it handles interruptions, background noise and callers who change their mind halfway through.

It asks the questions you'd ask, reads details back, and tells the caller exactly what happens next.

  • Answers 24/7, including holidays, with no hold music
  • Uses your greeting, your choice of voice and your rules
  • Reads names, numbers and addresses back to confirm them
  • Takes a message, a booking request or an urgent escalation, depending on what you set

What Nico does after the call

This is the part a message service doesn't do. When the call ends, Nico writes a summary card: who called, what they need, how urgent it is, the callback number, and a link to the recording.

The card goes where your team already works, in Slack or email, and can be pushed into your CRM. Urgent calls can page a person right away.

  • Call card with summary, caller details and recording
  • Posted to Slack or email, with an optional push into Salesforce or your CRM
  • Urgent-call escalation by text or call to an on-call person
  • A morning digest of everything that came in overnight

A 24/7 AI answering service you can change with a phone call

Business owners don't want to log in to a dashboard to change a greeting. With Nico, the owner can call in, enter a code, and tell Nico what to change. Nico reads the change back, and after the call it becomes an approval card.

Nothing changes until you approve it.

Questions we get asked

Does Nico sound like a robot?

No. Nico runs on a low-latency real-time voice model, so it responds like a person and handles interruptions. Whether a call feels good is the quality bar we hold ourselves to, and we test it by placing real calls.

Can Nico answer during business hours too?

Yes. Many customers start with after-hours and overflow, then move Nico to first-ring once they've listened to a week of calls.

What happens with an emergency?

You set the rules. Nico can text or call an on-call person immediately for calls that match your escalation criteria, and still post the card.

How does Nico compare to a human answering service?

Human services charge per minute or per call, take a message, and hand you a line of text. Nico is a flat monthly fee, holds the whole conversation, and hands you a summary, a recording and a next step.

What does Nico cost?

A flat monthly fee per line, with no per-minute charges. Ask and you'll get a number in the first conversation.

Which phone systems does Nico work with?

Any line that can forward calls, which is nearly all of them. Nico runs on Twilio numbers, so you can also port a number or use a new one.

Tell us the job that keeps eating your week.

Thirty minutes. We'll tell you whether an agent can take it, what it would touch, and what it would cost. No deck.
