What we collect
Two things: what you type into the contact form, and ordinary analytics about how the site is used.
- Contact form: your name, work email, company (optional) and your message. Nothing else is required, and there is no hidden field.
- Analytics: pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, referring site, and general device and browser type. This is aggregated; we are looking at which pages work, not at you.
- Server logs: our host records requests, including IP address, as part of running any website.
What we do not collect
Not collecting things is the easiest way to protect them.
- No accounts, so no passwords.
- No payment details. This site sells nothing.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
- No sensitive categories of personal information.
Why we use it
The contact form exists so we can reply to you and, if it goes further, quote the work. We will not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.
Analytics tell us which pages answer people's questions and which do not, so we can write better ones.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of vendors to run the site. Each sees only what its job requires, and none of them are permitted to sell your information.
- Vercel: hosts the site and provides privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies.
- Google Analytics: measures site usage and sets cookies in your browser to do so.
- Resend: delivers contact form submissions to our inbox as email.
- Google Workspace: where that email lands and is stored.
- Model providers: only if you become a customer and only inside your own systems. Nothing you type into this website is sent to an AI model.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Google Analytics sets its own to tell repeat visits from new ones. You can block or delete them in your browser, or use a tracker blocker, and the site will work exactly the same.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our email for as long as the conversation is useful, and we delete on request. Analytics data expires on Google's retention schedule, currently 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it, usually the same week. We will not ask you to prove why.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you those rights explicitly, plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you are in the UK or EU, our lawful basis is legitimate interest for analytics and your consent, given by sending the form, for the enquiry itself.
Children
This is a business site and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top. There is no version where we quietly start collecting more.
Contact
Questions, corrections and deletion requests all go to hello@splicework.ai. A person reads it.
